EPIC SANA Algarve Hotel

Pros: The place is just wonderful. I liked everything! Lovely and helpful staff, wonderful breakfast with lots of options. Beautiful spaces, nicely decorated, where it was easy to rest. So much peace around, swings in the garden and spectacular beach just 5 minutes away. Amazing place to rest.

Cons: I still liked it BUT it would be nice if the indoor pool was bigger. Also nice to have would be a kettle in the room - however, I didnt ask the hotel service if I can get one, so possibly that's an option :)

Great vacation

Pros: We stayed at Epic Sana to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a truly smooth and romantic experience. We were warmly welcomed with flowers, champagne, and chocolates in our room, which made us feel very special. We had requested a sea-view room, and the team kindly accommodated our request. The property itself offers more than enough to enjoy a relaxing stay, with heated pools, a spa, and daily activities. We especially enjoyed the breakfast—it was well spread with live egg stations, and we loved the fresh orange juice and cappuccino. Breakfast timings until 11 a.m. were a big plus, as we didn’t have to wake up early. All the staff were consistently smiling, welcoming, and attentive. Another highlight was the private beach access, which was incredibly beautiful, serene, and peaceful. We will definitely return to enjoy all three restaurants; since it was the off-season, only one restaurant was open, where we had a lovely lunch.

Excelent

Pros: We stayed at EPIC SANA Algarve for 3 nights in late December. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality options. The main downside was the outdoor pool. It was advertised as a heated pool operating all year round, but during our stay it was not properly heated and was too cold to use, which was disappointing. This was the only real negative point of the hotel. Another thing to keep in mind is the location; the hotel is a bit far from the town, so if you don’t have a car, you will need to rely on taxis. Overall, it’s a very nice hotel with great facilities, especially the rooms and breakfast, but expectations around the outdoor pool in winter should be managed.

Cons: No outdoor heated pool! a bit of challenging access to nearby lively activities outside the hotel!

Pros: Ambiance of the location. Good food & drinks. Friendly and professional staff.

Cons: Some of their restaurants are only open during peak season.

Wonderful location with a staff willing to give you a great experience

Pros: STAFF Some part of the staff really wants to have a great experience: Breakfast: people: MARCIA, LISA, ETC... And you can see that the presence of the manager want things to happen smoothly Quality of the breakfast is also great GUEST EXPERIENCE DESK: Anastasia was extremely helpful to make reservation in restaurant, and help us with any request we wanted She was extremely dedicated friendly and efficient GARAGE: People taking the car from the garage where all young people very efficient and very polite I loved it RECEPTION Jessica up on arrival was extremely efficient and friendly

Cons: Did not like the formula of the dinner in the convention center, but I understand one of the restaurant was under maintenance

The best place to stay in Algarve

Pros: Coming back to this amazing hotel again and again. To my opinion it’s the best location in Algarve: beautiful pines, amazing cliffs to the ocean and such a vast territory with well integrated hotel complex. Very family friendly.

A really comfortable first holiday with our 7 month old!

Pros: The staff were superb We travelled with our 7 month old baby and we felt so relaxed and comfortable away from home. The staff at breakfast were all so lovely!

Cons: You have to pay extra to be able to use the beds at the beach, quite a significant amount aswell (starting from €30 for 2 beds, up to €80!!!) For the price you’re paying at the hotel I would expect the beds that belong to Epic SANA to be included. Thankfully we bought our beach tent, otherwise with our 7 month old we wouldn’t have been able to visit the beach without shade. Really limited restaurants were open during our stay (only Japanese and buffet)

Great relaxing time!

Pros: Location is fantastic at the beach, the beds are really comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Cons: The additional cost for sunbeds at the beach for 50/30€ is a bit exaggereted for a beach hotel.

Pros: Breakfast has a great selection. The rooms are very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is great. The staff all were friendly and very helpful.

Great memories with my kids, but disappointed by the extra charges

Pros: The room was very spacious and comfortably accommodated the four of us. The food was of excellent quality. All the swimming pools were spotless and deep, with the water always fresh and clean each morning. The sunbeds were comfortable and easy to move around.

Cons: I have never heard of a five-star hotel charging extra for sunbeds on the beach. We went down the stairs expecting to find beach towels and sunbeds available, but were told that we had to book the sunbeds at an additional cost. If not booked, we were not allowed to use the towels provided on the beach and instead had to bring them all the way down from the swimming pool area. I wish this had been communicated in advance, as it was very disappointing. Our booking included three all-inclusive meals. The food was delicious with an excellent selection of desserts. However, I found it frustrating that during dinner there was no self-service mineral water available, even though a selection of wines was offered. We were charged for bottled mineral water every evening, despite it being included at breakfast and lunch. This felt quite unreasonable and annoying.
