Cosy little hideaway, great pool, quiet area, attentive hosts and lovely breakfast service

Pros: The daily breakfast surprise on our own little terrace was a really nice touch. Tom and Simone are very nice hosts and provided us with a softer mattress topper for one of the beds immediately upon request. The property and location are really nice and quiet, we loved being greeted by the chickens every day, and the pool is just what you need after a long day in the scorching heat. Super nice and roomy bathroom that has recently been renovated.

Cons: There was unfortunately no acoustic insulation between the two rooms. We were literally able to talk to each other without leaving our respective rooms, and as soon as someone so much as moved upstairs, you would think there was a Poltergeist in the attic. ;-) The pool could have been a bit cooler for my own liking, but I know that my friends were very happy with it being a bit warmer than the Atlantic.

Beautiful spot with lovely, kind hosts. Perfectly relaxing.

Pros: We loved the garden, pretty house and refreshing pool. Breakfast was home made bread and jams, fruit, cheeses and meats. Yummy. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us and addressed any issues immediately. Thank you Tom & Simone.

Cons: More sockets or USBs would have been handy but everything worked.

Peaceful and calm stay in a lush garden with pure rooms and great breakfasts.

Pros: It’s very quiet and peaceful with lovely pure rooms. Different breakfasts every day. Well located.

Cons: There was no cleaning of the rooms and bathrooms during the stay.

Cons: Wifi wasn’t that great

Best place to stay in the Algarve.

Pros: The hotel is centrally located in the Algarve and only 10 minutes from the shore at Olhos do Agua. We traveled both east and west on very good roads. The hotel is located off the highway and is very quiet. The grounds are beautiful. The buildings date from 1932, but have been remodeled inside. The room was spacious, the bath very large and modern. The breakfasts were delicious, weather permitting served just outside our room. Most of all Tom and his staff were gracious and welcoming.

Cons: The hotel far exceeded our expectations. Do not change a thing.

Pros: Everything. It was clean, tidy and neat. The trees and plants were great. There were fresh figs and orange trees. The pool was a big hit, as were the pétanque and table tennis. The bar was fairly priced and a nice set up. We enjoyed the home-cooked breakfasts with a variety of fresh bread, fruit, jams, cheeses, and hot items. The host, himself a professional chef, arranged a delicious bbq which catered for numerous dietary preferences and took place in the warm shade of a fig tree. The location was good and would love to return. Exceptional for exclusive use.

Excellent value for money

Pros: Tom, Simone and Vera are amazing and friendly nice people. We felt very welcome and well looked after.

Cons: Unfortunately it was very hot and our apartment didn’t have air conditioning
