Casa dos Arcos - Charm Guesthouse

Casa dos Arcos is a very special manor house. Its a 300 years old palace built in the 18th century, where a noble family used to live. The house and its interior remains pure and original providing the opportunity to travel in time and enjoy our unique atmosphere. It's perfectly located, right in the center of the old town in Albufeira, less than 200 meters from the beach. Situated in one of the oldest and most famous streets right next to the center square. You can find all that you need in walking distance (ex: supermarket, restaurants, bars, shops, transports). We have a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary appliances at you're disposal. We actually have a supermarket just next door from the house. We also feature indoor and outdoor common areas were you can relax, socialize or do some work. Every private room is quite spacious and includes a private bathroom, some rooms include a balcony overlooking the oldtown while other have a window showing our garden. Each room is unique and features characteristics and decoration that remind you that you are staying in an old Portuguese Palace. In the private rooms you will find a private bathroom, as well as tasteful furniture and decoration. You should find most of the commodities that you would expect from a hotel room, such as complementary towels, water, soap, shampoo and hairdryer. Every dorm has a private bathroom, every bed includes bed linen and towel. There is also lockers for every guest. Hope to see you soon!

A Hidden Gem

Pros: I travel to Portugal 4 times a year and have stayed in many hostels/ guest houses this is one of the cleanest and its beautiful the outside area is FAB where we all met other people from all over the world sat ate and chatted. The meet and greet when arrived from Carlos was reassuring excellent member of staff.

Cons: Not a lot to be honest you cannot be accountable and responsible for other travellers ways.

Beautiful property to experience the portugese architecture. Very comfortable and great location.

Pros: Location, architecture of the building and beautiful they have maintained the 200 year old property

Cons: One of the staff who welcomed and usually is there at the reception during the day is very rude and unpleasant. His behaviour as a person in hospitality is very disappointing, not welcoming at all

Pros: This accomodation definitely lived up to it's name - it really is charming. David was very friendly and showed us around when we arrived. He also informed us that we could eat in the attached restaurant and receive a discount (we had lovely tapas there). The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom. We liked having use of the communal kitchen and the courtyard area was lovely. Would definitely recommend this accomodation.

Pros: Beautiful house with many details and also in the room itself. Location was very central and you could make use of all facilities in the house.

Cons: Due to the central location, it was quite noisy. No airco in the room but leaving the windows open was no option due to the noise.

Beautiful characterful guesthouse in central Albufeira. Loved it!!!

Pros: Fabulous quirky guesthouse in an amazingly central Albufeira old town location. Staff are fantastic and welcoming and helped us with restaurant recommendations. Well equipped kitchen if you want to eat in rather than restaurant. Beautiful communal terrace garden. Great value for money and would definitely stay there again.

Cons: Needed to shut the window at night time as could still hear the karaoke bars. Bathroom needed hook on the back of the door.
