Perfect!
Pros: We loved our stay here, everything was perfect! Chantelle and the team were so welcoming, the hotel is beautiful and breakfast is fresh and delicious. I had a few extra lovely homemade gluten free dishes too and every day was slightly different. The room was clean, spacious and stylish with a big comfy bed. The location is great too - close to everything but in a quiet spot. Sadly as we visited out of season it was too cold for us to use the pool but we hope to return in the summer. It was lovely to meet the cat too!

Visited Ilha Deserta, superb!
Pros: Breakfast was great. Loved the fresh orange juice. Lovely service. Superb location despite renovation work going on in the street.
Cons: Area around the pool did not look like the photograph. Foliage needs pruning!! Great pool.

Casa Apollo, an absolute gem!
Pros: Casa Apollo is an absolute gem. Great location in the centre of Faro, easy walking distance to everything, but with windows closed at night, it was very quiet. The guesthouse has been beautifully and thoughtfully decorated/ appointed. The room and bathroom were clean and beautiful, the bed was very comfortable. They provide a small mini fridge, shampoo, shower gel and soap (ladies, bring your own hair conditioner), hairdryer, kettle and tea/coffee. The courtyard garden and small pool is a lovely oasis to relax. The continental breakfast is first class, with fabulous home made cakes and eggs cooked to order. Jean-Paul also has a bar service so you can have a drink or snack by the pool in the afternoon/evening. They provide beach/pool towels and parasols that you can borrow for the beach. Jean Paul and his team are lovely people and made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Just something to note, while you can have your own drinks using the fridge in the room, you can't have them outside by the pool etc, which is fair enough as they provide a bar service. Breakfast is served from 8:45 to 10:45, which was fine for us. And you need to book one of 4 timeslots - this helps ensure you get a great personal service, but slightly detracts from holiday spontaneity.

A perfect haven in Faro
Pros: Jean-Paul has created an intimate and tranquil place which was the perfect ending to our holiday in Portugal. He was the perfect host and his G&T’s most welcome around 5pm after touring Faro. Highly recommend!
Cons: Perhaps the stairs as by that part of our holiday we were over schlepping our luggage around.

Peaceful oasis
Pros: Casa Apollo is a true luxury boutique hotel. You can tell the owner has personally curated the space to a high standard: the design is impeccable (including the lush gardens and beautiful pool), the breakfast is all fresh and home made (and includes fruits from the garden!) and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. It is our third visit and we'll be sure to be back, truly a small paradise of calm and greenery in the middle of Faro.
Cons: Nothing!
