Apartamentos São Rafael - Albufeira

Pros: Location was excellent very quiet at night but yet only a 10 minute drive away from hustle and bussel if you want.The beach was absolutely beautiful and very clean.

Nice size apartment, close to the pool and beach.The garden view is very misleading as it doesn’t look over the gardens

Pros: It was close to the pool and a short walk to the beach

Cons: No locks in the bathroom/toilet but the main issue was that it’s advertised as garden view, the view was looking over the carpark which was a real shame as we like to sit out in the balcony

Pros: This apartment is in a great location for the beach, but also has access to a lovely pool. It was perfect for a family holiday. Well equipped kitchen with welcome pack on arrival, comfy beds and air conditioning. Convenient bus stop nearby and some great restaurants within walking distance.

Cons: The fridge wasn't particularly cold so we didn't feel able to keep any perishable food in there. Two keys for the apartment would also have been useful at times.

Pros: It was our first time in Portugal and we managed to find the property with no major issues. Ruben was very helpful with communicating with us and leaving a few basics to get us going before we found our bearings was very much appreciated. The pool area was fantastic with a nice mix of age groups enjoying the pool and never felt overly crowded, our 12 year old loved the pool bar from where you can purchase drinks or food. The property itself was spotless and was cleaned during our stay there, we came back from a long day to a lovely freshly made bed on the Tuesday! With a rental car it's very easy to explore towns and areas in and out of Albufeira, for instance would recommend visiting Lule Saturday Market, a large market in an historic town that is only 15 minutes away.

Pros: The host was outstanding and made our stay really enjoyable. The area is outside Albufeira but we wanted self catering and it was so easy. Close to an awesome beach

Pros: Ruban was fantastic, was very quick to respond to our questions, even dropped us of an adaptor when we realised we brought the wrong one! Will definitely return

Pros: The location was great. Breakfast was not applicable. The unit was very nice but the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything around you.

Cons: Walls allowed noise to carry through with ease.

Pros: The apartment was situated in a complex including a nice pool with bar. The location was nice, quiet and 5 mins walking away from Sao Rafael beach and 10 mins driving away from Albufeira centre. We were two couples and the size of the apartments was very satisfying with a fully equipped kitchen, nice big bathroom and big bedrooms. We had a big balcony as well. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate and he catered to our needs.The is plenty of parking space in the property as well.

Pros: Very nice apartment. Close to a couple of lovely beaches and restaurants. Not too loud at night. Super friendly host. Great pool for the kids. Air con was much appreciated!

Cons: The supermarkets close by are very expensive. Would recommend driving to the Aldi or Lidl and doing a bigger shop there upon arrival. Ideally you would hire a car as Old Town is a fair drive away. The marina is close but a steep uphill back. We found the pool bar staff quite unfriendly. One of the rules is no animals but the pool “monitor” walks around with his pet parrot and even gets in the pool with it.
