Monte Borboleta - Villas

It's fantastic.

Pros: A cozy, peaceful, quiet place. A beautiful view opens up from the hill. The place is designed for relaxation and being in no hurry. The houses are stylishly furnished, with attention to detail. Everything you need is there. The only important thing is that you need a car to get there. It is located away from the noise of the street, on a hill. It is easily accessible and close to all shopping facilities. Very cozy. Did we miss the beach? Not at all. A special and private place by the pool. It's fantastic. We definitely recommend it.

Relaxing and quiet location with amazing views!

Pros: From the moment we booked, Nick and Mia were corresponding with us, offering excellent information - directions - which were spot on, 1st time we have never got lost where to find supermarkets, restaurant recommendations, places to visit. They told what was provided in villa - salt, pepper, olive oil etc, washing up liquid, loo rolls - all essentials needed, which sadly is lacking in most places we stay. The had also left a lovely welcome pack with wine, pate, jams and honey and biscuits - lovely thought! Sunbeds were so comfy!! again bit of a rarity - which amazing views!

Cons: Nothing not to like,

Pros: Monte Borboleta is perfect as a base for exploring the Algarve or, as my wife and I did, just relaxing for a week. The kitchenette has everything you need for cooking and the bed (for us anyway!) was very comfortable. There's a TV with Netflix if you so desire and the pool (watch out, it's cold) was great to cool down in. We hired a car to give us a bit of flexibility and with Monte being a bit off the beaten track, we're glad we did. That said, one of the reasons we booked here is precisely because it is off the beaten track! Nick and Mia were perfect hosts, giving plenty of information prior to arrival and always available if needed. It's not often that my wife says she'd return to a particular place on holiday but she'd happily go back to Monte Borboleta.

Cons: Being off the beaten track as Monte Borboleta is, means that you can't nip round the corner for a coffee or get a pint of milk but for some, this isn't necessarily a negative. It's just something you should be aware of and plan accordingly!

One word: Paradise!

Pros: Monte Borboleta is amazing place, no doubts, with excellent and spacious accomodation. We stayed in 1 bedroom villa, fully equiped, we had there everything we needed. But the most important is the place itself:) beautiful garden, architecture and the pool with the view… amazing!! I could stay there for a long time:) Nick and Mia are very nice, helpful and gentle people. They care about the guests. I hope we could come back there very soon:) all the best Nick&Mia!!

A perfect piece of paradise

Pros: Everything. Fantastic location with stunning views. Our accommodation was everything we could wish for. Spotless and the bed was so comfortable. The air con was set to a perfect temperature. The outside area and area around the pool is fabulous Nick and Mia are amazing hosts. So helpful and gave us recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Definitely a place to visit.

Cons: There is nothing to dislike

Perfect couples retreat with excellent hosts.

Pros: Our stay was idyllic. The location was great with fantastic views, a true get away from the crowds. Nick and Mia are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The properties are decorated and furnished beautifully. The pool is ideal for a dip on a hot day.

Cons: The 'remote' location means the drive can be a little uncertain to begin with but after a couple of trips you get used to it!

Lovely relaxing family vacation in the Algarve region

Pros: The house, the location and the pool were all awesome. The hosts had provided us with invaluable information and advice on nearby restaurants and places to visit!

Pros: Perfect stay in lovely cottage and beautifull premises

Pros: Monte Borboleta is really beautiful, in reality perhaps even more than in the pictures. Laurent thought of every little detail. We enjoyed everything including the comfortable villa and a wonderful terrace where we spent most of the time. The location was peaceful and nice. The pool area is great as well. We didn’t have a car but it was not a big issue as it was just about 10 EUR to get to Faro by Uber. I would love to return here one day.
