Wax Hostel

A firm favourite

Pros: My all time favourite place to stay at in Faro. Keep your key on you at all times, there was a guest who kept locking herself out and others too if we happened to be in the kitchen/on the terrace without our room keys. Not the hostel's fault, there are forgetful/inconsiderate guests sometimes. Karin at the reception was helpful, the place is clean and well equipped.

Pros: Location was perfect staff lovely and place was v clean

Cons: Bed was a little uncomfortable

Warm and quiet.

Pros: The Hostel is just a few meters (literally) from the beach. The location is close to a Minimarket, restaurants, a Ferry boat to the city and a bus stop. The airport is 6 minutes by taxi or 10 minutes by bus. White sand beaches and a good variety of restaurants.

Cons: If I had something to criticise, it could be the difficulty in adjusting the hot water in the shower; I could never catch up the best fit, which is hot or boiling. But nothing serious.

Great, family getaway

Pros: Lots of space and well fitted kitchen with extras - great AC and window blinds for sleeping

Cons: The doors were loud to close from the outside.

Pros: If you like sea, the location is excellent. You can also see sunrise from the terrace

Cons: The showers are not very comfortable.

Pros: Perfect location for our early flight. Right on the beach, clean and comfortable

A quiet, clean and comfortable hostel.

Pros: First class small hostel with 5 bed dorms (2) a family room and a private room. Easy going and quiet, Faro beach is not a party area! Perfect for a relaxing stay.

Cons: People who don't respect the Hostels rules and policies. It's very simple: The Reception opens at 15:00 for checking in. You must check out by 11 am on the day if your departure. Clean up after yourself and keep the noise to a minimum after 11 pm.

The cutest hostel

Pros: The location is superb, right at the beach. And the terrace overlooking the backwaters is absolutely stunning. With just 4 rooms, Wax is cosy and quiet - we loved it!

Pros: It was my first solo trip, I have never stayed in a hostel, but this time I booked a hostel,,, I was a little nervous, when I went there everyone was very friendly,, the hostel is very clean,, the kitchen is very good facility you can cook and eat,,, I am also very happy because there I met a very nice person who was very pure of heart ❤️❤️🫰🏻🫰🏻. I did not even think of this, he treated me very well. I recommend everyone if you want to go, you must visit once, I am very grateful. Wax Hostel made this trip a memory for my whole life, I can never forget it.
