Old Village

Beautiful, quiet complex with friendly staff and an excellent restaurant.

Pros: Good sized and clean 2 bedroom apartment, well provided kitchen (crockery, glassware, cutlery, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee pot, oven/hob), modern decor with good air con/heating. Beautifully maintained grounds to the complex, pools were clean although we didn’t use (in Feb) and very quiet, family friendly vibes. Easy walking distance to the marina, excellent restaurant on site for all meals (great value for money, lamb chops and full English breakfast were favourites) and friendly staff. Good location, gentle hill position with pretty views across Pinhal course.

Cons: Beds weren’t super comfortable but it was OK, our children were very pleased with singles and the travel cot so might have just been the double being too firm. Linens were clean and pretty. Towels provided were a bit basic and thin so would recommend bringing your own if it’s an issue - you got dry but also exfoliated!

Cons: Food in the place beside the ATM was poor

I didn’t want to leave it was so relaxing and peaceful. I looked straight away to book again. I had a wonderful holiday

Pros: Stunning buildings with well maintained beautiful grounds. Very clean everywhere. Nice bars, restaurants and pools. Food and drink not overpriced or in the on site shop. Entertainment every evening. Our ground floor 2 bedroom apartment had everything we needed.

Cons: Just a couple of little helpful touches in the accommodation would be, more than one toilet roll, washing up liquid and cloth and items to make your first drink of tea or coffee with small milk and a bottle of water in the fridge.

Pros: We booked a studio apartment My friend 2hi I was travelling with had an accident the day before we arrived. The apartment was located on the 2nd floor & had trouble with the steps. Si we asked to be moved to floor level whitch wasn't a problem only it would take a few hours to be ready again not an issue for us The new studio had just been renovated recently it was beautiful

Pros: We loved everything about our apartment, it was everything we needed and more. We were so sad to check out and wished we could have stayed our whole trip to Portugal in that apartment. We would love to return.

Cons: Nothing, everything was fantastic.

We love the old village and hope to visit again

Pros: We stayed at the old village in April and really liked the set up Plus was easy to get everywhere.

Cons: The property itself had a really bad damp smell all week! We kept the doors open when we were in but it still smelt bad. The inside of the door windows were wet every morning with condensation. Probably need some sore of heating in there or something to remove the moisture.

Very happy with the old village, one of my favourite places to stay !

Pros: Old Village was perfect as usual. It was more expensive on this occasion though !

Cons: Accommodation was more expensive this year

Pros: Location was very good The staff was nice, Rooms were comfortable.

Cons: I have no complaints really, Extra or a change of towels.

Cons: A bit noisy in the evenings especially at weekends and could hear apartment above. Would have been nice if pool was heated!
