Casa Portuguesa

Pros: The house is within a walking distance to the nicest beach in the surroundings. Although it is placed in the middle of the tourist appartment zone, it has a feel of somebody's home - it is actually quite surprising to find such a lovely house in a place like this. The stairs are quite steep so if you have a walking dissability or young kids (in fact, there is a safety fence on the top of the first stairs), you may want to reconsider. The two bedrooms have air-con. Although the rooms and beds are not very big, the house is fully equipped and has a lovely terrace with sea view on top, and an open space covered with vine and bbq facilities in front of the house. Parking is 50 meters away, where the parking for the beach is. You do need a car to get here and arround and to go to the grocery shop/restaurants.

Cons: There is quite some traffic in the evening, when people go to/return from the beach, but in general the area is calm. If one is tall, the beds may be a bit small. The water drains in the house remove the water slowly - this is not a problem, but you need to take care not to overload them (i.e. use the washing machine, dish washer, and showers at the same time). The small sleeping area on the top of the house is difficult to cool. If you are not into partying, I would definitely choose this place to Albufeira.
