Faro Comfy Ensuite Guest House

No staff on site, but you were able to contact Francisco if you had any queries. Lovely clean place and very central.

Pros: Good position, easy walking distance to everywhere. Good sized rooms and bathroom. Plenty of towels, well equipped.

Faro is full of surprises ☺️

Pros: Lovely place, room was clean & had everything needed with the added bonus of a small balcony (if they could fit a little folding chair) loved the automatic screens, felt very modern. The area around it isn’t the nicest but don’t let it put you off, it’s a few minutes walk from everything bus/train/marina/restaurants.

Lovely guest house

Pros: Loved the guest house, was well maintained and very clean. Kitchen was perfect, had everything I needed to prepare a meal. I don't enjoy eating out, so prepared meals in kitchen. Room was comfortable, clean towels, clean linen. Felt safe as a solo traveler. Communication with owner was excellent.

Cons: I was in downstairs room, no place to hang bathroom towels and also was cold at night, would be nice to have extra blanket for cold nights.

Pros: The accommodation was functional, clean, and well prepared. The room was simple but very clean and perfectly met our needs. The shared kitchen and living area were nice and welcoming, which made the stay feel comfortable. The location close to the train station was very practical for us. It’s a pity we only stayed for one night, next time we would love to stay longer.

Beautiful guesthouse, comfortable room and convenient location - great for a weekend away.

Pros: Location was fantastic, 10 minute walk to the harbour and only 2 minutes to a lovely Portuguese restaurant. Felt safe walking at night time but passed a few 'groups' of men who eyed us up and made me feel comfortable (mum and 13 year old boy) but is was 10pm at night so... The guesthouse itself was exceptional - clean, tidy and the room was great. I chose to come out of the room when I heard the other couple come in (as I like to meet people), and shared a cup of tea with them in the shared kitchen. You could easily 'avoid' the other guests if you chose to. The facilities were fantastic and the shared area was welcoming with a sofa, tv, fully fitted kitchen and cute outdoor courtyard. Take some long life milk sachets and tea bags if you like a morning cuppa :)

Cons: I contacted the owner (after they reached out to ask for my personal details and arrival time) from the UK to say what time we landed, and then sent another message when we got to the centre of Faro. Check in time was 4pm and although I sent several messages, I wasn't sent the code to enter the building until nearly 4.30pm, and we'd been stood outside the front entrance for 25 minutes.

Good

Pros: The house is lovely. Kitchen is very well equipped, although I didn't get to use it. It's a house share, but as we were staying in the upper floor, we didn't hear anything from the other guests. Room was very comfy, shower was good as well.

Cons: The ground floor room is immediately after the front door, so if you're unlucky enough to get that room, I suppose the noise levels should be way higher.

Perfect short stay in Faro

Pros: Lovely & comfortable for the one night I stayed, great walking distance to Faro centre. Room was ready earlier for me as well which was a lovely touch. Received a great list of recommendations or bars and restaurants which was great! Never stayed in a guest house before but this was a lovely first experience

Pros: The location was excellent, very close to bus station and city centre.

Pros: Cleanliness, new facilities, proximity to the center. Francisco was very helpful and advised on good entertainment venues and restaurants in the area.

Pros: The location was perfect to rich the center, bus station and train station.

Cons: Cleaning needs improvement.
