Lovely apartment, great value for Quinta do Lago.

Pros: The property was exactly as the photos, and very comfortable. The managing agent was communicative and friendly, and offered us a late check out which we didn’t need but still we appreciated her offer. Excellent WiFi. Fantastic location, and a lovely pool area.

Cons: There is no sound proofing whatsoever, as it’s such an old complex. You can hear every light switch flick on 2 apartments away, every door close, every conversation. We spent a lot of time out, but hearing screaming babies at 5am in the morning, as if they were in the bedroom with you, was really frustrating. There is also some minor maintenance required in what is a lovely apartment, eg the bathroom door is blistered at the bottom and drags on the floor, the bedroom balcony door does not lock properly and could easily be pulled open with the lock on, so it’s not secure for valuables. We always bring our own supplies to a self catering apartment, but it’s always nice to have a little welcome pack, there was nothing supplied here, not even a bottle of water. At over £200 a night, I don’t think it would be an unreasonable expectation, and would be helpful for those less prepared, especially if arriving from the airport late in the evening.

Fantastic apartment in a great location

Pros: Great location, close to the beach and lots of restaurants/bars. It was clean upon arrival and was also nice that it was cleaned a few times during our stay. Pool area was lovely, as were all the grounds. Easy parking with plenty of spaces. We loved having breakfast out on the balcony. It fitted our needs perfectly and would definitely come back.

Cons: Communication was poor - the check in instructions said the keys were at reception but actually there is a lock box with a code at the apartment door. We contacted the management company a few days before to enquire about early check in and never got a response. There was also nothing like a guest book in the property so we didn’t know where to take the bins out to, check out instructions etc. We are lucky we know the area well but would be good for future guests to also list some recommendations. It’s also quite a noisy place to stay, right under the flight path from the airport and there was a loud family next door. Worth bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Final point is it would have been nice to have some basics in the kitchen such as salt&pepper and cooking oil.

Pros: Beautiful apartment, very good location, 15mins walking to the beach. Easy and independent check-in. Good and pleasant communication with the host. My all requests were realised. Perfect place for vacation.

Home away from home

Pros: We had the best time here! The location was ideal, our key holder accommodated early check in and the apartment was in perfect condition. We’ll definitely be back!

Great home from home fresh pad!

Pros: The look was fresh and uncluttered. The layout was perfect and surprisingly spay. Love the blue theme! Great position for in and out and the pool and sea!

Cons: The smaller bathroom shower was week and the sliding door tricky from day one and broke on 3rd.

A perfect stay!

Pros: the property was stunning. I felt very safe and secure during my stay. Reception staff were lovely and helpful. my towels and bedding were replenished and the dishwasher loaded which I didn’t expect and was very helpful.

Cons: I can’t fault it!

Pros: Location was fantastic , apartment finished really well , nice and modern , all the comforts of home
